Pine Decking
This is our standard decking option that uses pretreated pine decking. The pine option gives a natural wood grain feel to your dock along with stability and style. This is our most economical option and looks great with a Spa-N-Deck finish.
Here is a great article discussing various decking materials written by Bob Villa himself.

Ipe Decking
This is another great natural wood decking option with a lifespan of about 25 years. IPE, also know as Ironwood, is one name used for the imposing Lapacho group of trees from the various species of Tabebuia. The trees generally grow from 140 to 150 feet, and are mostly found in Brazil and throughout Central and South America.
It is one of the hardest woods in the world and is arguably the most attractive decking that exists. It is prized for its stability, durability, strength and natural resistance to decay, wet conditions, and infestation by termites and borers. Ipe has a Class A fire rating, the same rating given to concrete and steel. It comes in two different color options of heartwood and sapwood. Ipe's heartwood is olive brown to black and usually features striping. The sapwood is much lighter, and is usually white or yellow.
